Treasure Hunter
Normal drop rates means that when a monster is killed, it has a percentage to drop an item. This percentage falls into 1 of 7 categories: Ultra Common, Very Common, More Common, Common, Less Common, Rare and Very Rare. This drop type can be effected by treasure hunter. For each level of treasure hunter applied, the percentage for that item increases by an amount relative to the original drop rate.
Grouped drop rates means that when a monster is killed, there is a percentage that a group of items will be made available. The percentage that this group becomes available cannot be effected by treasure hunter and falls into 1 of 3 categories: Regular treasure (10%-40%), Boss treasure (50%) and Custom (typically used for Dynamis, Salvage and other specific content). If the group is successfully made available, a set of items are added to a pool where each item is given a percentage of dropping, ranging from 0.0% to 100.0%. If the combined percentages of these pooled items do not add up to 100.0%, the remaining deficit becomes a no-drop slot and the items within can be effected by treasure hunter. If the percentages of these pooled items add up to more than 100.0%, all items are weighted down to a proportionate amount out of 100.0% and the items within can not be effected by treasure hunter. After this pool is created, one slot is chosen.
Treasure hunter is a debuff applied to a monster during battle by a thief that effects the drop rates of applicable items. Refer to the table below for drop rates within each level of treasure hunter applied.
